Frequently asked questions

If the answer you need is not here, telephone the boutique — it is usually faster than writing.

Do I need an account to order?

No. There are no accounts on this shop at all. You add what you want, fill in your name, phone number and address at checkout, and that is the whole of it.

To look up an order afterwards you need its reference and the phone number it was placed with. Those two together are what keep your address private without a password.

Are your fragrances original?

Yes, without exception. We buy through authorised distributors only, and if a bottle you receive from us is not genuine we refund it in full and collect it at our cost.

When do you take payment?

With cash on delivery, when the courier hands you the box — not before. Where card payment is offered, at the moment you authorise it with your bank.

We telephone to confirm every order before it is dispatched, whichever method you choose.

Why does the shop telephone before dispatching?

To confirm the size, the address and a time that suits you, with a person rather than a form. It also protects you: it means nobody can have a parcel sent to an address in your name without a conversation first.

If we cannot reach you the order waits rather than being cancelled. Do telephone us back if you have missed our call.

Can I change or cancel an order?

Yes, up until we confirm it on the telephone — just tell us on the call, or ring the boutique before it comes. After confirmation the order is packed and changes become much harder.

Once a parcel has been dispatched, the way to reject it is to refuse it at the door.

What is the difference between the sizes?

The same perfume in a different volume. Where a size is decanted by us rather than sold in the house's own bottle, the product page says so.

A larger bottle is usually better value per millilitre; a smaller one is the sensible way to live with a fragrance before committing to it.

What does eau de toilette, eau de parfum and extrait mean?

They describe how concentrated the perfume oil is. Eau de toilette is the lightest and the most fleeting, eau de parfum sits in the middle, and extrait de parfum is the richest and lasts longest.

Concentration is not the same as quality — a well-made eau de toilette will outperform a poor extrait — but in Tunisian heat a lighter concentration often wears better through the day.

Do you deliver outside Tunisia?

Not at present. We deliver to all twenty-four Tunisian governorates and nowhere else.

Can I return a fragrance I have opened?

Only if it is faulty, damaged, or not what you ordered — in which case yes, and at our cost. Perfume that has been opened cannot be resold, so an unopened, sealed bottle is the condition for a change-of-mind return.

This is why we would much rather advise you before you buy than process a return afterwards.
